Favorite San Diego Food & Fun Spots
By Caroline McDonald
When it comes to favorite restau- rants, hotspots and attractions, there
is no shortage in San Diego—and
some NAPSLO members who
reside there are eager to share.
Highest on their list of restaurants are Island Prime, Lou
and Mickey’s, and The Oceanaire
Seafood Room. Other favorites are
Café Milano in downtown La Jolla,
Searsucker, La China Restaurant
and Café Luna.
According to the San Diego
Convention & Visitors Bureau
(SDCVB), there are hundreds
of restaurants in the area. The
SDCVB site ( www.SanDiego.org)
gives descriptions, price ranges and
online maps for directions.
One place that shouldn’t
Bonnie M. Frank, assistant branch
manager of the San Diego office,
Burns & Wilcox:
The two restaurants that come to mind:
A island Prime: beautiful view of the ocean
and the city, great food!
A Lou & Mickey’s: nice bar and restaurant
area and the best crab cakes you will
ever have!
Many places to visit; the San Diego Zoo,
Sea world and Seaport Village are my
favorites!
be missed when in San Diego is
Balboa Park. At 1,200 acres, it
contains The San Diego Museum
of Art, the San Diego Zoo, the San
Diego Natural History Museum, a
number of diverse gardens, the San
Diego Automotive Museum, the
Veterans Museum and Memorial
Center, and the Hall of Champions
Sports Museum.
